Gridded Self Portrait

Students will take a photo of themselves and draw a grid over it.  They will then draw a larger grid over a piece of large paper.  They will be asked to draw their face using the grid references but they need to use mixed media for the grids.  They can alter their image through the grids as the inspiration photo did or they can simply use mixed medias for the grids to create a special effect.

Materials:

• Personal photo
• Large Piece of Paper
• Markers
• Pencils
• Colored Pencils
• Paint
• Ruler
