Water paint/liquid watercolor paint
Eye droppers
Watercolor paper cut to the same size as the container
Objectives:
Improve hand eye coordination
Experiment with pattern
Pre-Lesson: Discuss patterns with students
Lesson: Each student is given a test tube Styrofoam container and paint and an eye dropper. Ask them to make patterns in the holes using the paint and the eye droppers. When they feel like they have created a pattern they are happy with, take a piece of watercolor paper and tap on top of pattern so that paint transfers to paper.
